THANK YOU (Mar 5)
A huge "thank you" to every one who helped us achieve our goal (plus a bit more) in getting to Berlin. The first week is wrapping up for us - and it's been a great time already. After recharging after a gruelling trip - we've started working on new material, had our first taste of Berlin nightlife and met up with some people.
We feel blessed to have friends and family that support us in such way and hope we can repay your kindness. Stay tuned for more from us...
LIFTOFF (Feb 12)
We're getting just a touch closer to arriving in Europe — about 2 weeks left until we head off. Last minute details, packing and some planning are all that is left on this side of the Atlantic. We've made contact with some interesting people in Berlin and are in the process of organising releases and gigs. If you're in Europe and would like to meet up please drop us a line. In the rush of the holidays, we somewhat neglected to mention the DJ mix we put together. While working on studio material we wanted to put out something to keep our fans satisfied until our next release. RELEASES (Nov 25)
2009 was a year spent focussing on working in the studio, creating music and honing the sound, style and direction of OVERCAST SOUND. While these efforts meant that we spent less time out performing and interacting with the public, we feel it is important to help take OVERCAST SOUND to the next level. Now that the year is at an end we are close to having an opportunity to share some of the results of our hours in the studio - in the next months we'll have releases on three different labels. While we can't talk specifics at right at the moment we'll keep you up to date as we get closer to the release dates!
BERLIN CALLING (Oct 29)
OVERCAST SOUND has decided to spend some time across the water in Europe. In early 2010 we'll be making Berlin our home base for several months. We hope to use this time to push our performances, meet up with like-minded people and compose new material.
We are looking for venues to play and people to meet, not only in Berlin but throughout Europe. If you have any suggestions, thoughts, ideas or want to make contact please drop us a line.
THREE ACT TRAGEDY (Sep 10)
Since putting the finishing touches on Green Space EP we got back to work in the studio to put together our next EP. Three Act Tragedy is 3 tracks that bring a more playful dancefloor sound to the forefront. A short preview is below - have a listen and enjoy!
