the plan
For us, OVERCAST SOUND has been a labour of love, we've enjoyed the creative outlet for our ideas, performing our music, and talking with like minded people (both fans and other artists). It has continued to grow and evolve these past years beyond our original expectations. So, we feel it's time for new plans, new directions and taking things to new levels. Part of this renewed effort includes visiting Europe for three months in the Spring 2010.

We will be based in Berlin - a city with a vibrant art and music community - a perfect place to immerse ourselves. The hope is that spending time surrounded with the many other artists will help focus our sound, the opportunities to play in a wide variety venues will hone our performance, and living aboard will fuel our creativity. It may seem like a long way to go, but Berlin has established itself as the captial of "techno", with a large number of international artists establishing a new homebase there. We plan to engage deeply in this environment.

We are truly thankful that you would be willing to help us make this next step in our journey. As part of our thanks we will be creating a special digital package containing the compositions created during and inspired by this time, plus original photography and videos (and whatever else we can think of). After we have returned to Victoria, we will make this package available exclusively to those that donated to our trip.
